Privacy Policy

Outrun Me (the "app") processes your runs only on your device. The developer does not receive your location or your running records on any server.

1. What the app processes

• Location — GPS coordinates, time, speed, altitude and accuracy while you run. Used to make your maps and compare you with your best (the ghost).
• Steps — your step count while you run and the stride length worked out from it. Used to show a steadier pace and to fill in distance where GPS is weak (if you allow the step sensor).
• Running records — map names, distance, time, splits and race results.
• Settings — app settings such as distance unit, language and voice coach.

All of this is stored only on this device and is never sent to the developer's servers. You can use the app without signing up or signing in, and the app does not ask for your name, email or phone number.

2. Permissions

• Location (required) — records your route and distance while you run, including with the screen off.
• Notifications (optional, Android 13+) — shows that a run is being recorded while the screen is off.
• Photos (optional) — asked only when you save a race video to your gallery.
• Run in background (optional, Android) — excludes the app from battery optimization so recording and voice guidance keep going with the screen off.
• Motion & fitness (optional) — uses your steps to correct pace and distance. Step data never leaves your device.

You can use the app without optional permissions. You can change permissions anytime in your device settings.

3. Maps

To draw maps, the app downloads map images (tiles) from OpenFreeMap (openfreemap.org). As with any internet request, your device's IP address and the map area on screen may reach OpenFreeMap. Your running routes and records are not sent.

4. Race videos

Race videos are made on your device. They are saved to your gallery or passed to an app you choose only when you tap Save or Share.

5. Advertising and analytics

The app shows no advertising and uses no analytics tools.

6. Sharing and processors

Your personal data is not shared with third parties or entrusted to processors.

7. Retention and deletion

Records stay on your device until you delete them. Settings → Delete all records, or uninstalling the app, removes them from the device. Nothing is kept on the developer's servers.

8. Your rights

You can delete the records on your device in the app at any time. For privacy questions or requests, email us at the address below.

9. Children

The app is not directed at children under 14.

10. Changes

Before adding features that change what is processed, such as accounts or sync, we will update this policy and let you know in the app.
